  1. Hi Samantha Derrick many thanks for watching our videos i would like to point out inhabitants who have lived in the same country until the recent independence 2011 are bound to share the same food, because South Sudan has its own country now does it mean we have to invent new food to go with the new country? i hope this has answered your comments, and we would love for you to continue watching the show. stay blessed.

Also if you do a little history digging you will find who the original inhabitants of Sudan were, until due to many invasions pushed them further and further to the South and imposed another language on them, i won’t bore you with history (i will leave that for you to follow up on in your own time) but as i mentioned previously, if two children have lived in the same house for more than 200+ years and one decides to leave to a new house does that mean they should leave all the mothers teaching and invent new ones of there own?

  2. Also please Samantha enlighten us what real South Sudanese food is since the country has only been around for 4 years? many thanks.

  3. The way you cooked the addas is not the way us South Sudanese people cook, because the colour is too dark and the texture is too smooth. it is also not meant to be blended.

    1. +Badria Mayom You are very correct, but i thought i would add my own spin to it, thanks for letting us know 🙂 if you would like i could do another video how addas is cooked the way you are implying?

    2. +Badria Mayom i guess depending on the household. my mom used to blend it or push through a sieve. The smooth texture works well with bread but not rice

    1. +Akuch DeGarang Many thanks we’re glad you enjoy it 🙂 We can definitely do those you listed my Akoub is a bit rusty but i will definitely try
