Muqasqas means "cut up" and this this is a type of yemeni ka'ak which is cut up into small pieces with scissors.

2 cups flour
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. black seeds
1/4-1/3 cup water (enough to make a soft dough)

  2. Wow, I find similarities between Yemeni & Ethiopian culture every day (probably because they are so close to each other). First, I learn that Arabic is the 1st most spoken Semetic language & that Amharic (language spoken in Ethiopia) is the 2nd most spoken Semetic language + They have many similar words. And I personally know many Yemeni-Ethiopian faimiies in Ethiopia & even in the US. We have a similar food like this called “dabo kolo” & it’s a “muqsas” (English: a snack). The name muqasqas reminded me of muqsas.
