  1. I just wanted to ask, what are you using to develop writing and grammar? Are the pieces included somewhere in the reading program?

    1. Both are incorporated in the language arts and reading program as well as in our history program.

  2. Hi Angela! This is the first video of yours I’ve watched. Our family uses My Fathers World too. When my oldest two did Adventures together they too were 2nd and Kinder (they are now 7th and 5th!!!). We still use MFW and love it. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos. God bless!!

  3. We started teaching textbooks level 3 this year as well! I love it because my daughter is easily distracted and I feel like it keeps her on task. I have her do it with headphones just to further block out noise and help her focus. I have a 3rd grader and a 1st grader as well!

    1. +My Many Hats Yes! Headphones are a LIFESAVER! It helps drown out the little ones screaming and yelling, lol!

    1. +Myka Stauffer I know you mentioned our fathers world. Im debating if k-12 is right for me when i was christian curriculum

    1. Science and history/geography are included in the “Adventures in U.S. History” bundle from My Father’s World (along with Bible).

  4. Loveee your channel! I hope you do the follow-up video sometime soon – I’d love to know how your school year went!

  5. Math you See so much better. Do Not use Teaching Textbooks unless your student is not getting it. It is a lower one

  6. I want to ask? why are you doing homeschooling instead of regular school? Not to offend you, but I’m just curious.

  7. Yes! I learned cursive in the 3rd grade but surprisingly, most of my classmates can’t read or write in cursive…

    1. cursive is out-dated. children just need to learn how to write their names to sign documents. typing is the future.

    2. This is ridiculous. Both typing and handwriting are essential. I can’t imagine going through life without knowing how to write cursive.

  8. I found this so interesting to watch and see your approach to homeschooling (as everyone does it a little differently). It’s good to see the variety of subjects that you’re doing and it seems perfect for your kids ages! Best of luck with it all, you seem like such a dedicated and brilliant mother too all of your children

  9. I was homeschooled. We did Konos, Math U See, and LATTL (Learning Language Arts Through Literature). I really miss it now.

  10. I have been looking into homeschooling and this is why I have been looking into your channel. this was immensely helpful! thank you!

  11. I have just come across your channel in search of various curriculum choices and I am so grateful for your video as it has been the BEST video so far as I am amazed at the several things we have in common! My 7 year old is also obsessed with horses and I was so excited when you shared about the horse curriculum! She will LOVE it! I am so getting that for her! I was also amazed to hear about our adoption of a girl from China. My mind and heart have been thinking A LOT about adopting a child from China. I have always had a special love for the Chinese people for some reason and would love to have the opportunity to adopt a child from there one day. I cannot imagine when or how, but as I pray about this, I trust God will show me His will in this. Thank you for sharing so many interesting curriculum choices that most other homeschooling videos have never included. I look forward to looking over you other videos! Blessings!

    1. It can be as expensive or as cheap as you want it to be! There are plenty of free resources on the internet and at libraries. There are also many great paid resources, classes, etcetera. It is easiest to homeschool with a stay-at-home parent but not essential.

  12. The children who were in my class who had Down Syndrome when I was in elementary school used sign language and all the kids in the class had to learn some so we could understand some of what Zach and Nate (the boys) were saying.

  13. Hi, would u know anybody that could write a California, 8hr, EMSA Child Care curriculum for our company University Training Center in Irvine, CA?  We can’t seem to find a qualified person.  We could afford $30 an hr.  thx so much

  14. I know this is an older video but thank you so much for this video. I have a 1 year old at the moment and I have been playing with the idea since before he was born. My husband was actually homeschooled while I went to public school. I have definitely been leaning more towards homeschooling but this I think has helped to cement that.

  15. Wow ! So many ideas… it’s really complete and at the same time simple and fun. Thank you 💕👌
